Lexi Spivey
THE JOURNEY
Hi! I'm Lexi Spivey, a Class of 2029 Libero / Defense Specialist from Wake Forest, North Carolina. For season 2026-2027, I am playing for JVA at Heritage High School, and 17 Jade for NC Academy.
I was born and raised in New York City before moving to North Carolina with my family in June 2026. Around the same time, my legal name changed from Lexi Edrosa to Lexi Spivey, marking an exciting new chapter as we began our life together in North Carolina.
Volleyball has become much more than a sport for me. It's where I've learned resilience, discipline, and the value of hard work. I love the challenge of playing libero, especially the responsibility of leading the back row, controlling serve receive, and making the plays that help my teammates succeed.
Every season, my goal is to become a smarter, faster, and more consistent player. I'm committed to developing my game, competing at the highest level possible, and pursuing my dream of playing Division I volleyball while earning a great education.
I'm excited to continue growing as both an athlete and a person, and I look forward to wherever this journey takes me.

DEFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY
POSITIONING
My defensive game starts with elite court awareness. I leverage precise footwork to anticipate ball trajectories, maintaining a low, balanced center of gravity to ensure I am consistently in the right spot at the right time.
REACTION
My game relies on explosive reaction time and hand-eye coordination. I read hitters early and execute fast transitions, staying technically sharp to turn every defensive save into a controlled, high-quality pass for my setter.
LEADERSHIP
I lead our defense with constant, aggressive communication to ensure we remain disciplined under pressure. My voice drives our court accountability, keeping the squad aligned and focused on winning every transition at speed.
PLAYING HISTORY
My journey on the court has been driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, competing with top-tier clubs and school programs to sharpen my defensive edge.
